Exploring Hookah Types and Varieties

Modern Electronic Disposable Hookah
Although still more predominantly popular in rap and hippie communities, there is no doubt that hookahs have found their way into the mainstream market today. The good thing about this shift is the unceasing evolution of these smoking devices. Today, we have high-tech versions such as rechargeable electronic hookahs and electronic cigarettes which are basically one and the same in terms of basic features. Ego U is a particularly popular brand that you may encounter, whether online or offline. Notwithstanding the advancements concerning these instruments, it’s always good to take a look at the entire picture of the world of hookahs and how they've changed from then to now.

Egyptian and Syrian Hookahs

Egyptian and Syrian Hookahs
Among all types, Egyptian hookahs are the most traditional. These devices are characterized by tall and slim stems, wide down stems (the bigger ones) and can be produced using single or multi-metal materials.  Usually, you will get them in brass or copper or even stainless steel. As opposed to more modern versions, traditional Egyptian varieties are made with bare human hands, and while this technique sounds impressive, it can also leave very obvious signs of the welding process it took to make them. Syrian hookahs, on the other hand, are more rarely produced and usually come with a thinner than usual stem and horse port that is tilted upward. They are often made of either purely stainless steel or purely brass, although sometimes they have a nickel coating to them for added shine.

Anodized Aluminum

In North America, the anodized aluminum variety is the most commonly used, but this doesn't mean it is the best. In fact, among those who know hookahs by heart, this is rather the poorest in quality. Its parts are notorious for corroding and they can even fall off without substantial pressure. Another way to distinguish this smoking instrument is its color. If a hookah stem is too colourful or feels too light, it’s probably not worth your money. After all, you’d always like to look for durability. You'll find that the materials for this type of hookah almost looks and feels like plastic, which doesn't really sound like a good deal.

The Modern Electronic Disposable Hookah

To understand why the modern electronic disposable hookah is the best today is a no-brainer. First off, you won’t be using charcoal, which has tar and gives off harmful gases that go straight into your lungs and to the atmosphere. Not very good, Secondly, a rechargeable e hookah comes in a variety of sizes, which gives you full freedom to get the size that you want, especially if portability is important. Third, you can’t argue with the fact that e hookahs are way more convenient to use. No need for charcoal and foil. Just gets some electricity going and the tobacco vaporizes in no time. You don’t even have to deal with that nasty after-scent that tends to stick to your hands and clothes when you smoke an ordinary cigar or cigarette. Smoke from this device has little to no odour, so you won’t even have to deal with that embarrassing smoker’s bad breath.
